BUS-217: The launch path, week 4.

Design an engine of growth

You’re gonna need a great business model to power your venture.

Some business models are simple and obvious, some are more complex. But fundamentally we need operations that create value by solving a problem that customers have, and then we need to have a way to deliver that value to customers, and we need to capture value by doing all of this profitably. Thinking through our business model in advance helps us to recognize all the various aspects of our operation, and where the risks might be.

A business model is the rationale by which an organization creates, delivers, and captures value.
